The Background on Blueberries

Blueberries are native to North America, and are one of the few naturally blue foods on earth. They symbolize natural health, containing antioxidants like Vitamins A & C. Also of note, Native Americans reportedly took the star-shaped blossoms on the berries as a sign that the Great Spirit had sent them down from the cosmos as a gift to Earth. With this in mind, they called them "star berries".
