On Black Friday you get up early in the morning to join crowds of people at big box stores to find the best ‘deal’. Pushing, bad words, and anxiety are often found on Black Friday as well. Small Business Saturday in contrast to Black Friday encourages individuals to go support your local mom & pop stores. Warm smiles, a good conversation, and a business you can trust! We’ve been busy the past couple of weeks getting ready for the arrival of a new line of rustic and industrial modern furniture. The furniture is perfect for those who are just beginning to create spaces of their own.
To make room for the new arrivals, Susan closed down her stained glass studio space. Did you know that she had a large stained glass studio below the design center for over 30 years? She worked with customers from all over the country creating incredibly intricate and beautiful custom architectural stained glass for their homes and businesses. “Where did the time go? As we get busier and busier with interior design projects, I saw I was spending less and less time in my studio,” she explained. “Kieran, also an interior designer, worked magic getting me to part with my treasured glass,” she continued. And while it is bittersweet to see her studio go, she is excited to diversify the offering at the Interior Design Center. The new showroom downstairs is big enough to feature the new line of furniture, old lamps from her personal collection, and a variety of sale items. (more…)
I love my rocker recliner. It has a clean contemporary look and is it ever comfortable. When my grandson was little, this is the chair we cuddled in to read books or watch Sesame Street. (more…)
