This handsome Cordalee pedestal kaleidoscope is a Henry Bergeson customer favorite, named after innovative kaleidoscope maker Corki Weeks. It comes equipped with three interchangeable, brass trimmed liquid-filled cells. It can be viewed anytime with its own internal light source, which turns off after one minute.
It is a parlor scope, a handheld scope and comes with three completely different images to look at. Slide it back a little and you can lift it off its pedestal. The liquid-filled image chamber can be pushed out while a magnet and the 'scope's curve hold it in place. You will find two other cylinders attached by magnets to the base which Bergeson has filled with colorful objects.
Another special feature of the Corda Lee Kaleidoscope is that it has its own built-in light source. Push the brass button at the front of the scope to turn on the LED light, which has a timer and will shut off automatically after a minute. Three AAA batteries are easily accessed via a compartment on the underside of the 'scope. This setup means the batteries will last a very long time. Its a great feature for those evenings you want to look through your kaleidoscope and the room is dark.
